I don't remember the logo at the start, I'm sure I would have picked up on something like that. I'm going with the theories with Easter Eggs more likely [especially since it was confirmed anyways]. A lot of games will put Easter Eggs in from previous games, even if they don't relate directly. It's happened in two of my favorite series, Final Fantasy and Silent Hill. So I've kind of learnt not to think too much of it.

I did see someone say there was also supposed to be a Dharma logo on the overturned oil tanker as well.

Ironically, I did remember speculating that the Cloverfield monster was the weird monster thing from Lost when I saw the first trailer. Of course I'm sure I'm not the only one who made that [rather jokingly] theory.

Ok guys, I've seen the movie twice so far, yesterday with a friend of mine, and today with my sis, and well, the first time I forgot everything I had to pay attention, but this time I noticed many of those small details... The point is that I DID saw a Dharma Logo in the intro, right after the vertical color bars switch to the US Goverment message. That image is real, but it's just a flash, obviously I think it's an easter egg, but a really cool one though, 'cause I'm a big fan.

I'm going to add this to my list of things to see next time in that case. I'm still going with the Easter Egg theory, but I swear, doing things like that just make people ask more questions. LOL

I know most of these threads are pretty much dead, but I saw the film last night - surprisingly impressed. Anyway, there is indeed a Dharma logo, it lasts for 1 frame only at the clock position you see here. If you wait for it you'll see a flash, if you have some video editing software you can go through frame by frame.



As for the sinking tanker, it's Japanese, there is a big red bullseye type circle on it but I wouldn't say it looked like something from lost.

Oh and the end credits lists the follow clips that had been used - further support for a earth born monster

"Them", "King Kong", "Beast From 20,000 Fathom" and Spongebob (yay)

(You can see the original King Kong for a fram eor two during the fixed camera footage just after the helicopter crash.
