It's kinda funny because if Jason lived, there'd probably be a lot more revealed about Cloverfield than there already is. In movies, the director usually kills off the first person whom suspects something is up. It's worked for slasher films and it works well in a film like Cloverfield. I don't think the Seabed Nectar has anything to do with the monster or parasites. There was a theory that Dennis at CloverfieldClues recieved in an email about Seabed Nectar being in the monster's blood, but the guy was basing his opinion on Slusho! which didn't play a big role in the movie except for the fact that Rob was going to Japan because he became vice-president of Slusho! *Hud mentions this in one scene*
ur prolly wright but i like many others speculated and this is what i think i treid to put the pieces together and thought that the necter at the bottom of the sea is what is the cause of the parasite becouse it says that something needs to wake the parasite up like warmth and the chuai station waws drilling for the nectar and thats what woke it up and thats why the chuai station got destroyed and i read somewhere in one of the interviews that were posted recently that matt reeves says the monster is looking for its mom ok so the monster at chuai station was the mom and what awoke the monster that killed manatten would've been awoken by the falling satallite wich yousaw at the end of cloverfield you can see the flaws of my theorie as well as i can i dont feel like telling them to you i no that was confusing and had no punctuation.
No, I understand what you're saying. Your theories' not that far off because a lot of people were saying that the monster that took down the Chuai Station would have been too big in relation to the monster in the movie that attacked Manhattan.
I think that Marlena is dead, although I think the more curiousity would lie in what exactly killed her. By that I don't mean the obvious question, but in what way would a bite like that cause her to explode [or at the very least cough up enough blood to do that]. It would have to be something really potent that has a fairly fast affet on the blood system. Even if there were a couple of hours inbetween the bite and when she died, it would still be acting pretty fast.

Well, we all saw that lovely bite on her shoulder. A bite that made my entire right side twitch when I looked at it. There's only two real things that could have killed her. Uber bacteria, or a poison of some kind.
That's all I can think of, and believe me, I know just about everything and anything that can come from a bite.
