The third chapter of the Cloverfield manga titled, "Cloverfield Kishin" was revealed to the Cloverfield ARG a couple weeks ago. Sorry for not posting this sooner, but the last couple pages of the third chapter proved my earlier theory about someone possibly controlling the monster. Either that or the monster is someone's guardian. It appears that Clover has some ties to a japanese high-school outcast named "Kishin" whose family holds a terrible secret. Kishin's mother is said to be strange, so maybe Kishin's mother could in fact be Clover's mother as well? I'm not sure. Oh, and I'm betting that those creepy cult members have something to do with TIDOwave. Notice the sword the "leader" seems to be holding. It is very similar to the "Slusho! T-Sword" that was appearing on the Slusho! and Tagruato sites. Anyways, take a look and see for yourself.

My theory is that Kishin and TIDOwave had something to do with the attack on NYC. That over-turned Tagruato oil tanker was no coincidence. It may have something to do with Ganu Yoshida's trip to NYC where he sustained "no injuries".
Great work as always man. Don't sapose you'd know when it's going to come out in the states do you?
I'm not sure. I don't think it's coming out to the States anytime soon. But Dennis at Cloverfield Clues regularly puts up scans of the Kishin manga chapters every week or so, depending on when Bad Robot and Paramount release the next chapter. I'm guessing it'll be released sometime later this year. Maybe around the same time as the Cloverfield monster action-figure.

What do you guys think of the relation to the kid and the monster? Any thoughts? It'd be a good time to come up with some theories...because the Cloverfield ARG is finally starting up again.
Ok, wtf...
It's like a "beast master" or something? That's quite bizarre.
From what I hear the kid has similar blood as the monster or something like that. I doubt he's really controling the creature though, but that's what everybody else thinks. Maybe Clover thinks he's kin due to the same blood. I don't know anymore.

I know I'm probably wrong, but unless they give the manga a good Hollywood ending, it's going to end very badly for the kid.
I'll say this one more time.....

THE CLOVERFIELD CREATURE IS AN OFF WORLD ALIEN - ITS ORIGINS HAVE NOTHING TO DO NOR DO THEY ORIGINATE ON THIS PLANET!!!!

The fact that there is a Japanese manga that showcases the creature means nothing...it's just the Japanese's way of taking a cool "kaiju" and adding their own brand of creative license. It's similar to what we gaijins did with Godzilla in 1998!

Wrong. First of all, JJ Abrams and Matt Reeves confirmed and re-iterated that the Cloverfield monster originated from the deep depths of the Atlantic Ocean, at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge; where the Tagruato Chuai deep-sea drilling station awoke the monster from its slumber. It is not an off-world alien, jeez. Pay attention to the Cloverfield ARG before you make false predicaments about off-world aliens and other crap that's been debunked multiple times.
