Special Features:

* The Making of Cloverfield VFX Piece
* Alternate Ending
* Deleted Scenes
* Theatrical Trailer

Release date is set to be May 22, day of Rob's party. Big Grin

I checked Amazon.com, but they don't seem to have a US release date listed there yet. EzyDVD are one of our major DVD retailers over here, although their release dates are often subject to change. Would be cool though if the DVD release date did coincide with the date of events in the movie.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the alternate ending, although I would have hoped there would have been more special features to give an insight into things. Then again, early info like this is sometimes subject to change.

Summoner Yuna...

I cannot believe the DVD isnt going to have more. The movie was soooo cool, has anyone seen the new toy of the monster? its wicked!!!
Alternate ending? ALTERNATE ENDING?! That is just fucking awesome. What do you think the alternate ending will be? I mean Rob and Beth had the camera last so I really can't say what footage there could be. Most likely it'll be some footage of the clean-up crew picking it up. And seeing as how this is JJ Abrams here, there's definitely going to be some twist to the ending. Probably a government official comes by one of the clean up crew members and says something that completely takes the Cloverfield ARG by storm.

The alternate ending...man, I gotta see that. Smile
All that is all find and dandy, really it is cause I want it lol, but I want to know the date! I mean, the 22nd of May is four days after my birthday, but I would like it if the American release was before that.

I mean, I'll accept late birthday presents, but it's better to get them on the day. Or the day before since it's on a Sunday this year.
How ironic that the release date for the DVD is rumored to be April 22nd. Isn't that the same day the monster, Clover, attacked NYC? Nice one, guys.
the alternate ending is that the battery died out and it is just of an old birthday party from 4 years ago that rob forgot to dub off to dvd because he had other plans, such as planning his trip to japan.

Clover attacked on May 23 ... which is the day after the AU release date I mentioned. I just read that the US release date is supposed to be April 22, which probably isn't surprising if it is, because we're usually behind over here.

I've been away from the Cloverfield community [here and Facebook where I post] for a couple of weeks, so I have a bit of catching up to do. XD] I did see a supposed cover of the DVD, but not sure how real it is, seeing it doesn't have the usual artwork on it. Also saw some stuff about a limited edition in the US as well which would be cool.

I guess you can pre-order it already.
I was going to post the link, but you beat me. Smile It's strange that when you 'search' Amazon for the DVD it doesn't come up in the search though.

I love the new image that they are using to promote the movie.

I'm going to import, as I can't wait an extra month for Australia. XD

I wonder if there will be a special edition, I've heard a few rumors about it but nothing concrete yet.

Edit: More info from this site, along with back cover image.

There are more Easter Eggs in store, but they are currently unconfirmed so we've excised them from the above list until solid word comes in. At the time of this writing, the only DVD box design circulating on the web features the theatrical key art, we're told this may change.
