Hey guys, a few days since I've been online.
I wonder if anyone here is collecting Cloverfield merchandise and stuff. Well mainly promo stuff as there isn't much merchandise. I've picked up a few small things, but not much.
Summoner Yuna...
None so far. I was going to get one of those displays, but those things are HUGE! And I bet those posters are expensive right?
I still need to swing by Hot Topics to see what they got.
I've got the official Cloverfield poster. And I showed you guys it before, so I don't know if that technically counts as what you consider to be merchandising. Still, it's pretty cool and I'm glad I purchased it for a measly 5 dollars, nonetheless.
You can pick up some reasonable priced posters on eBay. You just really need to look around and don't get caught out by the reproduction ones [well depending if you care whether you get a cinema one or not].
I'm at a dead-end on the Cloverfield display though. Over here in Australia the cinemas aren't allowed to give/sell/whatever anymore due to copyrights, which explains why there is like ZERO Cloverfield stuff in Australia on eBay. I was speaking to a manager at one of the cinemas and he said a few years ago it was different which would explain how I obtained a Final Fantasy Spirits Within Standee/Display. But what is worse, he told me that he had to destroy the Cloverfield one the week before. I could have cried. Oh, the pain. Well not quite, but it was such a shame ot hear that. I would pay like $500 for one of those and whatever it costs to get it shipped over here. Get it and sell it to me Moodyman.
Some stuff I have which I <3 so much
- 6 foot cinema banner [from UK] ... I hung it in the hallway XD
- Official press kits
- Autographed poster and press kit
- Slusho! cup from Paramount Premiere party
- Ticket from Paramount Premiere screening.
- Cinema trailer [as in the ones they use in the cinemas]
I only started off buying a few small things, but I keep buying stuff and I'm going broke. Have most things though now, although I missed out on getting screen worn costumes *sob* and am having a hard time tracking down the Comic Con posters as I started collecting a bit too late so they're pretty rare now [only have the Monstrous one].
@ Pr0LiFiX. Technically there's not really any merchandise other than the Hot Topic T-shirt and the yet-to-be released figure. Everything else is either cinema, promo, press, or competition based. Unlike my other obsession - Final Fantasy - who like to release anything and everything for sale. So in the case of Cloverfield, posters are near enough IMO.
