Full Version: Anonymous email from the "monster"

Earlier today I received an email from an anonymous user that had some intricate details for behind the scenes Cloverfield information. Some of the information that's in here claims some details on the possibility of a trilogy (no tnx plz), and other stuff.

I'm not saying that this is real, I'm just saying that this is what I received. I have to admit that it's a clever email, and whomever took the time to put it together, I applaud you. Now the fact remains: Is this another hoax, or is this possibly something to look into (excluding the horrible "if you don't do this by xx, then you'll die" type ending.)

Dear Blogger,

This is the monster of the recently released movie, Cloverfeeld - 1-18-08 To
prove I am the monster I will reveal secrets to the movie that only I and the
creators know.

Cloverfeeld
1 New York wasn’t this first city I attacked
2 Cloverfeeld in numerology equates to the number 3 Expect 3 more films.
3 The boy I ate was full of cholesterol
4 The girl that was bitten did not die but her career did

1-18-08
1 The move you watched was not the reel movie
2 Numbers in this 1-18-08 reveel my age
3 I can not be hurt by any “man made” weapon

I have included a cipher. I want you to post this cipher on your blog. In
this cipher you will find my identity.

If you do not print this code by the afternoon of the superbowl, I will go on a monster rampage I will start with the city of Oakland moving on to Mexico and if time permits Tokyo/Japan

The message is unedited, excluding the number cipher code. It caused a side scroll, and since I'm anal, I added a backslash to separate.

The original email kept the enter cipher intact.

So have fun, and waste your time if you feel like it Wink

That monster is a great speller.
Thats wierd. I haven't seen anything like that sent to the other sites. Seems like a troll.
sounds like wishful thinking...i'd like to have more info about the whole deal-eo, but don't think 2 more movies about the exact same set of circumstances is needed. a continuation of, or the aftermath of is something i'd pay for though.
Are you serious? Please don't tell me you actually believe this guy, Jordan. Oh, my god, seriously, first of all the guy can't spell worth s***, talks about attacking cities (which stems from another theory about how this Cloverfield incident is worldwide). Not only that, but he doesn't prove he's the monster. And if he really worked on the movie, he wouldn't use some gmail account to send you the email. Have you even heard of an actor/actress movie contributor who has a gmail account spamming someone to deliberatly reveal information on the movie? Jordan, this "monster" is just some middle-aged reject who's looking to get attention because he has nothing better to do with his time. The part about the Superbowl made me laugh.
Pr0LiFiX...put down the crack pipe, and step away from the keyboard...

jordan got an email, and posted for us to chat about. fodder for the masses so to speak. if she really believed any of it, would her closing be "So have fun, and waste your time if you feel like it"

you going through withdrawls? the cloverfield DT's, so to speak?
No, I'm just saying that the email probably holds no bearing to any relevant information on the movie. I'm just saying think about it. Do you really believe someone who worked on the movie would send an email proclaiming that they are the monster? I'm not saying this to be mean, but its not withdrawal. It's how I find that people will latch onto anything to find information on a movie -- especially one that's already been released. I'm not insulting you or the forums, BTW, Jordan.
Maybe Jarvis wrote the email.

Probably. I haven't heard from him in a while.

You did a good job is insulting me in your previous post. I post this email with the intention of some good laughs, and to try to see what this person spent their time encoding.

No need for the barraging comments degrading my intelligence.

Originally I was going to correct any errors but I'm wondering if some of them were intentional. If you look through most of the email, there are BARELY any issues with spelling.

Just Cloverfeeld, reveel, movee

Regardless if this is a hoax or not, I still thought that it was clever, and I'm still interested in what this "cipher' decodes to Tongue
