So I know most (if not all) of the Projectcloverfield.com viewers will be going to see the movie next week on Friday. That is if you live in the States.
Anyway, I’m feeling a bit friendly (despite ahem, a few slight comments made towards Jarvis, but you all love Jarvis, so that more than enough makes up for it) and want to ask you guys this question:
Where are you going to be seeing this movie at? I don’t what to know that it’ll be at “a movie theatre.” Because you know, I ain’t that dumb. I just want to know what City/State/Movie Theatre location. Perhaps other readers live in the same town as you (although if you’re officespacejk, I highly doubt it. Middle of nowhere FTL!), and maybe PC readers and Cloverfield obsesses can all go see the movie together.
I know that I’ll be in Wichita, KS for the movie on Friday. I’m not sure exactly what theatre (I don’t live in Wichita; I’m just visiting my boyfriend), but if you live in the area, leave a comment and maybe you can join our group (there’s like 5-6 of us excluding a girlfriend and a wife, if they don’t come.. and I’m sure we’re all going to talk about Halo 3 and be obnoxious) if you want.
Consider this an informal MeetUp opportunity. Take advantage of it? Oh, and ♥. I have to make up for being so coldhearted sometimes.

So I see that Jarvis has been harassing PC with way too many updates. For the abundance I apologize. :P
Regardless, I can’t believe that the movie is finally just a week away. Actually, I can believe it. I’ve stayed as far away from the Cloverfield muck as much as humanly possible. Anyway, a bunch of my friends (Halo 3 Clan buddies to be exact) are going to see this movie on Friday, except I won’t be in the Chicago area. I’m actually flying out to Wichita, KS this weekend :P
So I’ll be in somewhere in Wichita when I go see this movie. And honestly, I’m not sure what to think of the movie right now. Every single theatrical trailer I have seen for the movie has made me laugh my ass off because of it’s pure suckage. I surely hope I’m not the only one that was dissuaded in seeing this movie because of the godawful trailer(s) put out.
I’m just not sure if I’m going to like this movie, and of course there are two other things. 1.) I’m going to be pissed if it sucks, 2.) There really won’t be a need for projectcloverfield.com. How sad is that?
Anyway, I want this week to be a quiet week leading up to the movie, so Jarvis, if you don’t see your million posts a day being added, you know why.

Ganu Yoshida has issued an “open letter” on the tagruato website.
The open letter talks about Tidowaves involvement with the Chuai station!
An Open Letter from Ganu Yoshida
“Dear Friends, Supporters, Investors, and Members of the Tagruato Family,
Ever since I was a very small boy, I have had the dream of owning a company similar to this one. A company where the workers work hard and love each other. A company dedicated to making good change to our world. A company that would bring prosper to Japan and extend that wealth and knowledge into the universe.
Unfortunately, last week was a dark time for Tagruato, this company I love so dearly. I tried to contain the event for the sake of police investigation but now it is the time to come clean and tell our story to the world.
Our newest and brightest oil rigging development, Chuai Station, was attacked by a terrorist environment group called Tidowave. They released a series of explosions on the station, causing the loss of life and bringing the rig down into its knees. Tagruato has faced threats from this group for many years and has, with the help of our friends in the police forces, fought off many prior attacks. This blow, however, was too strong to miss us. The Chuai Station was damaged.
We are working tirelessly to contain environmental damage from the explosions and are already experimenting in the Atlantic for a new Chuai Station rebuilding location while our work is being continued at a temporary facility. We have also opened the Chuai Station Funds, which has currently raised over 300 million yen for the families of Chuai victims.
On behalf of everyone at Tagruato, I would extend my thanks for the overwhelming wave of support we have been receiving from our business partners, friends, and colleagues. We will not rest until these criminals are taken off of the streets and made to answer to the families of those lost at their hands. I know that, with your help, Tagruato will not falter before zealots, but will remain the company I pictured as a boy, dedicated to exploring the magic of our world and controlling the future of us all.”
Tagruato seeming optimistic, giving a victimised story of things.

Special thanks to IcyiceJuiceman for e-mailing me this!
In this interview, cloverfield director Matt Reeves talks about the Cloverfield name, Ethan Hass was right craze, fan theories and some new on the set photo’s!
The film has had a very successful viral campaign. What do you think of Ethan Haas and the other people who took it upon themselves to capitalize on it?
All I knew was that we made this teaser trailer and had not given any information about it. People immediately started making connections, some of which connected to things that we were setting up, but others had nothing to do with us.
Some were amazing. …we wanted to let people know that it was a monster movie in some way without saying, “Hey look! It’s a giant monster movie!” …
I got up there and said into the mic, “I saw it! It’s alive! It’s huge!” That would be an indication that this thing was alive and huge. Apparently I speak very quickly, so people in the audience heard, “It’s a lion! It’s huge!” I remember coming home from shooting all day and I look online to see what the response has been to the trailer and I’m seeing that people have done a spectral analysis of the audio. They’ve got my voice and they’re playing it slowly. I read further and they’re convinced that I’m saying “It’s a lion!” and that it’s a voltron movie. I didn’t really know anything about voltrons before this, and they’re apparently giant robot lions [see the "leaked footage" parody on the YouTube video].
That kind of stuff started building. Then when there was all this weird Ethan Haas stuff, I remember Bryan and J.J. and I turning to each other and saying, “What is that? We don’t even know what that is.” That’s what happens when you confront people with a mystery. You can’t be surprised if they start making connections that have nothing to do with you. That’s exactly what happened.
When I look at the message boards to see what’s going on, and there will be somebody who has purported to have seen the movie and they’ll give details—very specific details—that have nothing to do with the film. I think, “People are amazing!” It’s fascinating and it’s just something I’ve never really been a part of prior to this. I mean, we had online fans during Felicity, but it was very different.
Tell us the real story behind the title Cloverfield?
When we started the project there was going to be an announcement in the trades. In this case, they wanted to keep everything under wraps. So the movie was going to be made under this outside corporation that was basically a property of Paramount. That corporation had a name that I don’t know the name of. I think Clover was the first part of it. Maybe it was Cloverdale. When Drew [Goddard, LOST writer] was putting a name to the project, there was supposed to be a name for the project like there was for The Manhattan Project. So he said, “I am going to use that weird mysterious thing,” and he misheard it. He didn’t even understand that it wasn’t Cloverfield, it was Cloverdale. Maybe that was because of the street by J.J.’s old office, but the truth is he just misunderstood it.
Of all the millions of ways for me to show you how much I HATE YOU!!!!
the only way is to do my Hate Dance that I created for you,so you will know my PAIN!!!!
[does a weird yoga / break dance]
I don’t know if it’s the stuff you gave me,
but I’m see everything a lot clearer now!
