The title has no relation to what this post is going to be about, so ha!
Anyway, I’ve seen the number of you guys that like to comment back and forth, and I was actually thinking… With the movie being released already, there really isn’t a valid reason to keep running the blog as it is right now. Would you guys be more inclined to visit more often if this was converted to a forum? That way you would all be able to reply to each other but with more functionality (aka specific threads, quoting text, etc.)
Of course I would still have a section of the forum dedicated to posting news (which everyone would be able to do, instead of just myself and a select few.)
But please, let me know if this is something you’d all be interested in. I love that you guys come back to comment more, so whatever floats your boat, is what goes.

i usually dont like to be the first person to post a comment but I say that would be cool. I mean theres still so much to talk about and speculate on.
i think that would be a very good idea but it would prolly be a little hard to moderate o yeah and spam lots of spam other then that i think it would be an excellent idea and it would be a good way to make progress in the mystery of cloverfeild

I like the idea. You have to keep your David Duchovny picture up though Jordan. Ah, the good ol’ days, when I thought Jordan was a dude that sounded like Mulder.
wait, would we use the old forum, or is there going to be a new one?
I would like it if people would click on my name and gain more traffic to my blog, since I have some really good Cloverfield articles that no other blog has posted, lol….please….need comments, lol.
Anyways, I think a forum would be pretty cool, but I thought this site already had a message board and it didn’t get very much traffic. I think it’d be a great idea, if you kept the blog and forums seperate so that we could still get the news on Cloverfield and keep the threads and forums to chat about maybe our ideas or something.

It does have a forum, but it’s not advertised, nor is it linked anywhere. I never really cared for it, so it was really just there if you found it, or new of it.
I never attempted to keep it active. Jarvis doesn’t post here anymore, because he’s got his own site, and because he doesn’t have posting access to the blog anymore… So that’s why..
I’m up for a Cloverfield fourm. It’s funny, I thought I would be done with it after I saw the movie, yet I still come here and look up for more information lol.
I’d rather a forum… There’s a lot of addons that could be applied to it. I personally like SMF forums, or vBulletin, which one are you going to use?
Yes, I’d like a forum. It’s easier to talk about the movie and possible sequal. And with the addition of the Magna Comics there are more avenues to find the backstory on cloverfield.
I’m not going to pay for a vBulletin license (yet), so I’m sure I’ll stick with one of the open source/free alternatives. You’ll probably see this all change in the next few hours.
The old blog stuff will still be up for Google Love though.. And for other people that stumble across it all.
