I know some of you have expressed that you want to go ahead and send in your review of the movie Cloverfield. Rather than having your comment go by unnoticed in one of the posts here at Projectcloverfield.com, you can send me an email of your review to j.miskowicz/@/holdfire.net.
All reviews will be explicitly labeled as spoilers, regardless if it has spoilers in it or not. Feel free to be as creative as you want or whatever. I don’t care at all.
All I have to say about the movie is: LOL.

You know what else this site could use? Screenshots of the “satellite” crashing down at the end of the movie. Apparently sometime in the last scene….. (((( SPOILER WARNING!! ))))………………… there is supposed to be something crashing down to earth and into the water off the shore of Coney Island. And that’s supposedly tied to the Creature’s origin somehow, and have something to do with one of the Japanese companies that reported a missing satellite. This whole thing actually confuses me, so now that II’ve seen the film, and don’t have to worry about someone spoiling it for me, I’d really like to know more.
I will have my review up, tomorrow, in the afternoon, after I get back from seeing Cloverfield because the long drive from the movie theatre will help me gather my thoughts up on how the movie was.
My review will be unbiased, kind of long and kind of short, and some spoilers where I think is necessary. Hopefully, I will get the okay from Jordan and Jarvis. :D

Cloverfield wasn’t that bad, really.
And seriously, do a google image search for “Cloverfield Monster” or “Cloverfield Creature”
I seriously can’t find a picture of it yet. It’s been out for two days.
What the hell, JJ Abrams. How did you supress the picture from appearing on the site within 2 days?
I’m actually working on a video with a good, clear image of the monster.
I’ll post it up in a couple minutes or so.
I’ve already known what the monster looked like, it doesn’t spoil the monster for me because I am going to see the monster for the story, character development, footage, etc. There’s so much more to this movie than it being just a monster movie.
I am going to see the movie tomorrow, and I really believe it’s gonna be a good movie.
I totally missed the thing falling from the sky. I can’t imagine that something falling from the sky would cause a mosnter attack though.
i missed that falling as well, but somehow knew that the last scene had something to do with it. If you do a wiki check it also pretty much confirms that it was there.
Wiki also mentions that there is going to be a japanese manga thats a prequel to this story. Hmmm…
It also talks of a sound clip at the end of the credits that when reversed says “It’s Still Alive”.
I did look at the 1-18-08.com site, it has been updated with a new picture of some mutilated whales. Not sure how long it has been there but it wasnt there when i looked like 2 days ago. Why still update? Is the game truly over? Is there a 2nd movie already made or in production we dont know about yet? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!! I want answers dang it!!
i can say that i really enjoyed it. the main perspectus of the story is the characters, and how they react in the ultimate WTF situation, and for that you really don’t need to know the back story. i’m still trying to figure out what the monster really looked like…though, all the little creatures from the slusho site had a part in it…
***spoiler***
tadpole tale, horse feet in the back, octopus tenticles, fishy gill like whatevers on the sides of its face…crazy shit.
1.5 thumbs up from me…though i positive i like it better than the kids. they didn’t cry, though it was close at different times…which makes me think i’ll be getting a call from their mother asking WFT?
i didn’t see the thing fall at the end, though it could be the satalite bold futura sent up. i hope the game isn’t done, even if its just for more info to clear up shit from the film.
oh, and i just checked out the pic…i don’t think its a whale, the 1 thing i could try to make into a large fin or tale, looks more like a tooth or horn. could this be confirmation pics that the beastie is dead?
I’ve seen the movie, loved it. The entire movie had this dark theme to it. The musical score at the credits was awesome. The special-effects during the credits was awesome. I basically cried inside when Marlena and Hud died. You get so emotionally-attached to the characters that you forget that it’s just a movie. The monster looked completely bad-ass, finally something that doesn’t look like the same generic monster. Some people say that it looks like the Widowmaker in Resistance: Fall of Man, but I couldn’t see the similarities. The mini-monster doesn’t look the the thing from Starship troopers. It looks like a parasitic spider on steroids. In my opinion, the movie scared the shit outta me. I never got motion-sickness from it, nor did I get dizzy or have the need to vomit afterwards. I just left the movie theatre and thought to myself, “Damn, that movie felt so fucking real.”I know people are expecting a sequel but I honestly think it doesn’t need one. Original movies like Cloverfield don’t need sequels. People also said that there wasn’t a plotline. Well, let me say this — the plot is about some people trying to escape NYC after a monster attacks the city; Rob tries to save Beth, Hud documents etc. I mean, if you’re saying there’s no plotline, you need to get your brain checked. There’s more to this movie than just a monster attacking the city. I felt sorry for Rob when his brother died. The acting is so real, you feel sorry for the guy when his brother dies; when Lily cries over Jason’s death, even Rob, Hud crying over Marlena’s death, Beth and Rob screaming at the end.
BTW, for those of you who keep saying the city was nuked, you are wrong. The soldier said they we’re going to level the city with a Hammer Down. This is when a bunch of planes release their entire payload on one concentrated area. In this case, Central Park a la’ “area formally known as Central Park”.
The movie is great. and I would recommend everyone to see it.
9.5/10
Loved the review, Pr0LiFix. I’m glad someone else felt about the same as I do!
(I don’t get emotionally attached to anything, usually. Especially movies, which is where we differ. I feel about the same as you on the rest of it.)
Thanks for the Hammer Down info, too.
There’s a picture of a sperm whale or something that is the thing in the center left. Uhh, it’s on Google image, someone found the image they used for that whale (they obviously photoshopped it). It’s just a beached whale, you can make out part of it. The thing on the right looks like another whale, judging from the amount of skin that’s viewable, it looks similar to the other whale.
Uh, the thing that people think is a claw coulllld be the whale’s tail.
I read all the above whale stuff on cloverfieldclues.com I think. That and this are about the only ones I go on (I’ve only posted here. You guys are much calmer.)
it does look like a huge bite was taken out of one of them. i
Senorwhack:
I just looked at it again.
If I understand the picture correctly, what we’re seeing in the background is a whale with a bite taken out of the back of it, near the spine, probably. The mouth is located about an inch in, you can see the teeth and the opened mouth.
The other whale in the foreground has an opening in it to it’s ribcage (Is this the right term for whales? Whatever.) The thing in the center of the picture is it’s tail. If you think of it like the whale’s head is pointing at the screen (pointing at the cameraman, but off to the right a bit), then you can tell that the thing that’s clawlike is actually the tail with less skin on it.
If anything, the back of that whale looks like it was partially skinned.
The fin of the whale is viewable at the bottom right, extending off the bottom of the photo.
And birds are eating the whale.
Considering where the boat is and the wave next to it, I’d say these are beached whales, too (There seems to be sand. I totally didn’t notice that before).
Er, that’s what I see. I think it’s accurate?
Cloverfield is the shizznat
