Well, today is the day. We were going to go to a showing later on in the evening but I believe we’re going to go around 5pm today. Namely because there’s so many plans for tonight that we had to get it squeezed in as soon as possible :P
Anyway, check out a comic from HijiNKS ENSUE about the Cloverfield monster. Don’t worry, there’s no crazy spoilers. :o)

Well, I was referring more to the comic strip; The other part of the entry has a spoiler warning which should speak for itself :o).
I DON’T FUCKING BELIEVE THIS!!! I was looking for showtimes on Cloverfield for Marcus Theatres and I ran across this:
“Marcus Theatres® today announced it will not show the new motion picture Cloverfield, which will be released on January 18, 2008, at any of its 49 locations …”
That means they will not show it anywhere in my city (Milwaukee) because that’s the closest theatre where I live.
There better be a theatre in Milwaukee that’s showing Cloverfield.

Jordan, I think that’s possibly the only good thing about Cloverfield.
Back when Transformers came out, my brother (he works at a video store) and I kept telling everyone how bad it was, and they called us haters. When it came out on dvd, everyone that rented it would come back in and tell my brother that it was a horrible movie.
Well, he and I hated Cloverfield, and again, everyone we know is calling us haters……so, we’re thinking that people that see this movie on dvd are going to complain how bad it is.
For the past 5 days, he’s been referring to us as the Nostradamus of movies……you know, people shunned him for his predictions yet when they come true, he’s hailed.
I don’t know where I’m going with this anymore……
Anyway, the cartoon was very funny and so was the part where the guys says you can stand up and say, well just read it folks.
btw, I went to see 27 Dresses twice today in the totally impossible attempt to make sure it makes more money than you know what.
Surprisingly, it was a pretty decent movie.
Well, I spent a half hour freezing my ass outside in negative degree weather, going to the WRONG theatre, and the guy tells me that the only theatre showing this film, Cloverfield, is at the Rosebud theatre which is all the way on the other side of Milwaukee.
Looks like I’m just gonna take a break today and see it tomorrow.
I WILL ALSO WRITE A MOVIE REVIEW AND POST IT HERE, if it is okay with Jordan and Jarvis. Am I the only one here who has gotten a hex put on them for this movie? I guess it’s not always a good idea to see a movie on opening night.

As for me….i saw it and i loved it. Was it worth the “hype’…im really not sure.

Its a mumbling voice of “help us”….boys at unfiction played this backwars and it states “its still alive!”…..help us its still alive!! FREAKY OR WHAT AHAH!
The movie is perfectly set up for a sequal, i’ll just say that….So….I predict the game will carry on, and if so….i will create my own blog site for Cloverfield :-)
Oh btw Pr0….i’m fine with a review personally but Jordan needs to give the 2nd green light.

I’m gonna see it Sunday, at the Rosebud theatre in Milwaukee at 12:00 AM. I would have seen it tomorrow, but it’ll be way too cold.

What?!?! There where voices at the end of the credits!?!? Dman it I knew I should have stayed!
If that didn’t tell you, I also saw it today. I went in the theater at 5:15 and waited till the movie started at 5:35. I didn’t mind the lack of information about what the hell happened, how the deaths of the main characters happened, or even that black humor joke at the end. My problem with the movie was with the people who was watching it with me. We had some laughs all around, but at the end some guy yelled out “REFUND!”, which let everybody else go into a frenzy on how it sucked. I remained seated while everybody but a few left. I expressed what I thought to those who remained and they agreed.
But yeah. Once again guys, It’s been fun, it’s been real, and I’ll gladely do it all over again with you guys. Drop me a line if you wish at firestorm10113@yahoo.com

Oh wow, I’m totally glad that I was out here in Wichita rather than back home in the suburbs of Chicago. Majority of the theaters out my way are all Marcus based theaters, excluding the AMC ones (and those are pretty much just as overpriced, although Loews has a few decent ones.)
Either way, I’m still iffy about the movie. I’m still really disappointed though.
