Hello everyone.
A new site has been found! Remember the clues left on the hacked Tagruato site and TIDOO (Tagruato is destroying our oceans) theorie? Turns out this really DOES have something to do with things.
Apparently this “front” is the latest initiative from Les Guerriers de Mère-Terre (warriors of mother Earth) and was founded by conservationist Les Bandit Vert (The Green Bandit).
Also, remember the Tagruato voicemail memorial? Well here is our anwser;
Many thanks to our friend in the field who passed the original article on to us. It’s translated below:
YOSHIDA MEDICAL RESEARCH MOURNS THE LOSS OF MARINE BIOLOGIST
Tagruato suffered a large loss yesterday when Kazui Ichigawa, 63, and his family were found dead early in the morning.
His body, along with the bodies of his wife, Rie Ichigawa, 55, daughter Norika, 36, and granddaughter Kyoko,10, was discovered in the Daisetsu-San National Park at a popular RV camping area. Early word from the police is that it was a gas explosion in their trailer.
In a statement released to the press, press consultant Aki Ito said, “We are shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of perhaps our finest Marine Biologist. Ichigawa was not only an employee, but also a friend. He died with honor.”
His tragic death comes mere days after he abruptly retired from YMR. When informed of that, Ito replied, “It is a shame and a tragedy- this is a man who always put his family first.”
A close friend and co-worker (who asked to remain anonymous) believes that Ichigawa uncovered a magnificent discovery before he retired. “Unfortunately, his computer and files, even ones he kept in his home safe, are nowhere to be found. Tagruato is currently conducting a search for them.”
Ichigawa is survived by his son-in-law, Toshiro, 39, who was away on business at the time of the accident.

So, reading this blog update (well, I call it that) does anyone else believe that their may be a connection with this explosion that caused the deaths of the guy’s family, and the one shown in the original teaser trailer for Cloverfield?

I think the trailer explosion was in Japan, just a feeling. but the explosion in the teaser clip, i thought was the Chaui station. Or that the monster took out a helicoptor over the city and it crashed on land.
Jo, I think the explosion in the teaser was in NYC. I mean, no offense, but I don’t think the Chuai station was INSIDE the city, especially next to that tall building which I already forgot the name to. I don’t think the monster took down the helicopter. I think that it just dug underground and erupted it’s awesomeness to spawn right on top of NYC to begin wreaking havoc. Remember that the Chuai station is a thousand miles off the shore of NYC.
considering that we view the explosion from the roof of rob’s appt bulding…i’m saying that explosion was in NYC. i know, i know, its a digital palm corder w/ zoom, but you aren’t going to zoom in half way across the atlantic.
the concept of it being the same type of explosion on the station that killed the dude is interesting though. maybe he took a page outta larry the cable guys book, and was lightin’ farts.

I GOT IT! george “w” is the monster, and when something happens to it, little tony blairs fall off and chase people through the streets.
Yes yes yes, this mockery is all very enjoyable, but I wanted to point something out about these TIDO guys.
First, they’re French. That can’t be good.
Second (and both more importantly and why I decided to tell you all), I think there’s more value in reading the comments on these guy’s posts than the actual posts. To me, so far the posts have all just been the usual hippie anarchist stuff. Blowing up factories, letting loose test animals, yada yada.
But there was a comment from “Jason Hawkins.” He said: ”
If the files are found, please notify me at once. I believe some of my own materials will be in there.”
I haven’t got time to double check that Jason is one of the names of the characters, but I’m damn sure Hawkins is. Chances are, if his files were with Kazui Ichigawa (dead Jap, those of you bad with names, especially Asian ones), and Kazui was trying to take Tagruato down, then could Jason possibly be trying to take them down too?
Just a thought ;).
P.S. Some of the commenters’ names are hyperlinks to their webpages.
P.P.S. An annoyance: PLENTY of ARG/Viral Campaigners have been commenting in their own OOG way (!!!!!11). I should point out that it’s more probable that these comments are OOG, but if this Jason one is, I’m impresses with the faker. He actually tried.
I beg of you to correct me when you find a discrepancy, this is a very flimsy idea.

Jason Hawkins is Rob’s brother. Jason was the one whom in the teaser wore the Slusho shirt, and in the second store, talked to Rob in the store while being in pursuit of the monster. So, my theory is that Jason and Jamie are somehow connected to TIDO, maybe even “the cause” which Jamie talked about in her video. So, maybe Jason is the one that knows about the monster, which is why he keeps saying, “It’s Alive!” and “Rob, Rob, I saw it…”
Anyone else follow what I am saying?
Which video did she mention the cause? Man, we need Plot Synopses for ‘em, or at least transcipts. We could have a whole Cloverfield wiki.

Jason’s link takes you to a small time business’s website that custom builds gaming computers. Most of the links either take you to their ebay page, or give you a 404. But, if you click on the “Forums” link, it gives you a different sort of error page. It mentions in its weird code the misuse of the username “areyoufragile” and pass “yes.” There are Username and Passwords slots in the store’s page. Typing in that username and either yes or no still returns a 404, but I’ve yet to try it through the site that makes forums (that this store uses, http://www.phpbb.com), because of my crap connection, but I hope that’ll take me somewhere.

Thing of it is is, how can we know whether something is to be trusted or not? Come to think of it, how do we know TIDO is IG at all?

Just because they all run the risk of being fan-made doesn’t mean one of them might actually be IG.

tony, that site looks like one of those “check out our college” sites.
Which one? ymr.jp? Well, yeah, we decided that JJ wouldn’t make it that needlessly complicated/got frustrated and dropped it. The bits and pieces we managed to translate sounded like some sort of job application for insurance or something.
If you were talking about biggamingrigs.com, the site that Jason’s name links to, then here’s my opinion on it: If it IS in game, then either I’m being retarded (more likely), or all the 404s will become actual pages, which would be nice. It just doesn’t seem to make much sense from the perspective of a fan imitating an IG character - why put up a link to an OOG site if you were actually trying?

i’m starting to think there really is no game, other than what we make of it. those of us following the online epic will have the backstory to characters & monster that others wont have.
targrauto is bad, knows they are selling some form of tainted shit (i like the monsters blood idea), they kill to keep it a secret, big baddy wakes up tired of the drilling headache he has (pun intended) and goes on a rampage. the little baddies are parasites that feed of said big baddie, and can “smell” the sea nectar on humans & other mammals that drink the big baddies blood. the nectar reacts much like the black goo in spider man 3, enhancing each persons persona, but not to the same extent.

biggamingrigs.com has never had a link labelled “forums.” Just one that goes to the section of their site called “forums.” It’s labelled “support.”
Go figure.
I don’t buy this “not a game” thing, but I also don’t want to get into this again. Call it what you will, we all have the same idea of what it is. Beyond that, it’s semantics.
