Hello again everyone.
Some interesting pictures from www.slusho.jp and from the trailer have been e-mailed to me from Octavian. THANKS OCTAVIAN!!
Possible “outer shell” of the Monster. Now what kind of animal has an outer shell that could have been linked to clues (such as slusho.jp). Cockroaches? No, try crabs…
And if the monster did turn out to be a crab, which i think most of us would agree to be really GAY, then what do the 3 “claw” marks mean?
And to concern the “bursting Marlena” or the “bursting women” where we see a women screeming and apparently blowing up;

I really love all of this stuff, but you know what is going to happen, right?
Our expectations are going to be soooooo high that when we see this thing and it doesn’t live up to the image that we have built up in our minds, we’re going to be pissed.
I hope that doesn’t happen, but it might. I think we should all prepare ourselves for the “phantom menace”. We had 15+ years to build a Star Wars movie up to ourselves that Lucas couldn’t make us happy.

But, I still think that the monster (which I nicknamed, “Clover”) is an alien, who has awakened from the Tagruato deep-sea drilling operation in the Atlantic Ocean and is in so much pain that it decides to wreak havoc on NYC!!!

Apparently the dude from cloverfieldclues already had the shell thing going on. At least there’s more of us. It has also been stated that Tagruato is an anagram for Tortuga aka Turtle.
In my opinion they’re really toying with us. Whale, crab and now turtle? I’m already disappointed in the monster seeing as a turtle shell is not really my idea of an “alien”.
As it currently stands this is either gonna be a huge success or an epic failure.

Mmmm, I heard that that picture was shopped, but there have been multiple pictures of in /b/ of characters from the show Heroes holding Slusho containers and drinking from them. I’ll email em to anyone if they want, or check out 4chan, and go to Random.
How could Tagruato be an anagram for Tortuga? Extra “A” in the mix :S, highly doubt they’re related. I might get railed for saying this but it looks like the words just look similar and people are reading too much into it (although apparently not enough if they thought it was an anagram :O)

where you see the explosion and all the debris is flying (1:04) i think that the monster has some form on radioactive substance since it came from the ocean (judging by the posters) that could have spread threw out the town…
I personally think some of you guys are looking too deep when it comes to a virus, and infection maybe but i don’t think i virus. maybe the monster was created by mutation caused by radiation.

Thats’s a point of view Dude. No one can say if it’s right or wrong. We can all assume it’s something bigger in the backstage than just a monster wrecking havoc through NYC.
Monster is: a crab, a turtle, a whale or all of them combined.
Second antagonist is: either an infection, a virus, radioactive matter.
They can be related through little creatures roaming about that rose up along with big daddy. It could be airborne or it can be Slusho.
The only reason they’re giving us so many variables is so we get close but not enough to guess how it all fits together.
Tagruato can be translated as “a tortuga”. I’ve no idea who said that but i find it a bit far fetched myself tbh.
I agree Octavian. I guess one of the biggest clues we have as to the genetic make up of the monster is the roar. Has there been any discussionor analysis of the roar recently? The one thng I do know is that crabs and turtles don’t/can’t make that sort of noise so that rules out a mutant, post-radioactive exposure giant crab etc. If they had a giant version of purely a turtle etc and it made that kind of roar it would be reminicent of the old B-movie dinasours…not good. So the mish mash of beasts holds up as does of course an ailen because of the three claws. In the early days I always imagined the monster having a bit of (very big mutant, hybrid) human in it. But that’s just my brain being odd.
R.M. Dude has prompted me to think about the explosion in terms of what and where is it and to the monster’s route into the city.
The explosion comes before the Statue of Lib’s head gets whacked off. So does that mean the explosion must have come from off shore? I’m making this assumption based on the suggestion from the poster that the monster comes in from the water into the city.
Can anyone shed some light on the geography of that area as to it’s route in and if there is anything/building that could make such an almighty explosion? That would send such distinctive debris flying? How far off shore was the drilling facility?
But we also know from the news buletin that there had been multiple roars and earth shudderings prior to all of this so it has been on land.
I suppose a bit of google earth time is needed.
actually to me it looks like a tripod head from war of the worlds movie in 2006, only its greenish lime yellow color. now i remember the movie the host has a monster that looks like that but not as big but see in the host you see the whole monster. then as i was looking at it some more it looks like something with alot of armor on it. The clearer videos dont really show anything either so im still stuck on this being either a alien. Idid notice that when you look at it as it passes by the building you see that it looks to knock one over in the back causing it to fall over. ALL WE KNOW is that this monster is strong because of the statue of liberty head, its fast by the way it dodged the buildings and its smart by the way it keeps itself hidden and it seems to be able to take alot of punishment! i mean they are shooting rocket launchers at the thing and it just keeps walking on like nothing!
I think everyone dies at the end because in the new trailer it says area formerly known as central park and supposedly thats the last place where rob and beth go to to escape the monster and supposedly rob has the camera most of the time (i read that on youtube) so take it for what its worth but now its not looking so good for a part 2!! and like i said, if the camera was “retrived” then that means they found it and it wasnt given to them, unless they left it there and escaped and the people just find it. IDK there is no good news to report

Back to the original frame posted at top, I looked at it in HD and it seems to me that what is there are multiple tentacles reaching out, grabbing, and pulling back or withdrawing. Whatever it is I think it is multi-parted and cylindrical in nature (i.e. tentacles or feelers) and probably more along the lines of amphibian/reptilian than crustacean. (And NO I don’t subscribe to the ZILLA theory even though a lot of things would fit. Look to japanese pop culture for sure.)
Ok after seeing this clip which is much clearer I retract what I said. BIG armadillo is more like it. Don’t know if that’s the fore or hind end. Think back end because of the direction of debris fall and travel.
