**SPOILERS ABOUT THE EPISODE BELOW**
And what of the episode…well, its hard to put into words really. Jamie Hasn’t heard from Rob in two days so she’s a bit “worried”. Apparently she and her girlfriends have taken a STRIP class together and guess what!? She wants to show Teddy!! Yes, Jamie Lascano starts to do a terrible strip to Teddy Hansons favorite band. Unfortunately she does not finish the job and stops after she has taken off some shirts and stuff. Then comes an interesting bit. She states “call me, i want to know about the cause” something along those lines. Now, wtf is the cause? Who knows, start the theories in this thread!

Wow. Jamie didn’t forget to shut the camera off. No one was in bed with her. All she did this time was a shitty stip tease. The band however was not too bad.

The. Writers. Are. Messing. With. Us.
I’ve said all along, that this entire jamieandteddy thing is worthless, unless you’re only interested in cloverfield because you like following your favorite soap opera in the form of a viral marketing campaign.
I also think it’s necessary for us to find out when exactly these videos take place. Is it in real time? That would mean that Ted has to get back before January, I assume. So, at some point, we’ll get a video saying how happy she is that he’s coming back tomorrow, or something like that. Then where do we go with this? Yeah, the infection thing. Yeah, the androgynous-looking guy in bed with her. But what else do we actually draw from these? I can’t remember anything of value.
Correct me, i implore you to. Forgive my continuous cynicism, eh (un-Canadian “eh”, OK? Is anyone here Canadian, by any chance?)

So we’ll be going dark guys for maybe 5 days or more, depending on when we see the movie / trailer :D

Tony, whether or not the writers are messing with us is irrelevant. For those who have fondly followed this online “soap opera” (as you have put it), all the more power to you.
The reason Jamie and Teddy even exist is because the writers of ‘Cloverfield’ are providing a back-drop to the main story of the film. It’s not a bad idea and, at the same time, the people who do not watch these videos will not be clueless when they see the film. This is almost just a way of rewarding the online community of followers — differentiating that community from that of the mainstream community — by getting them familiar with some of the characters (one, for now) that will appear in the film.
As far as the plot is concerned, certainly you can exercise your right to an opinion, but in no way does Teddy need to appear before the film is actually released. For all we know, Teddy could be part of a scientific study on this creature, and when all hell brakes loose, he’ll be one of the people showing up in New York. Again, this creature does not have to be something new; it could be something that the government is hiding. The purpose of the movie, obviously, would be on the creature’s escape or outbreak.
This is all speculation, but pointing out that the writers are simply “messing with us” is almost irrelevant at this point. They ARE messing with us, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I dunno, Rocco. IMO, these vids aren’t much of a reward. We’re following this thing, or at least I am, to find out more about the background of the monster. Sure, Teddy boy could have something to do with it. But so could any of the characters. We have no evidence to the contrary.
By the way, I was talking to Jarvis about this today: I don’t want to imply that you all worship these videos (a rough impression of what Jarvis was saying today), I just want to say that to me, these videos are worthless.
“They ARE messing with us, and there’s nothing wrong with that.” Yeah, I don’t mind being messed with in the slightest!
If the writers are messing with us, which you and I agree that they are, then it is relevant. This campaign is all just an interaction between us and them. They give us crumbs to form a very misguided bread-trail.
Also, if you say they are messing with us (by posting a new video that is, essentially, just oxymoronic non-nude stripping), then how can video number 4 be of any value, if it’s just messing with us?
I don’t really see what the big deal is. These videos are not meant to lead us in any directions. They are meant to be fun. They are not supposed to tell us what is going to attack the city. They are supposed to tell us that Jamie likes to have fun. Be it stripping, sleeping around, or what have you. I don’t see anyone messing with anyone. I see videos, and myspace pages, to tell us a little more about the people who may or may not get squashed or eaten.
Sounds good to me. I still feel messed with, though, in that I’ve been expecting something big to come from the months that have been spent on the campaign, and now they’re posting videos of sluts for us.

Okay, so if Jamie and Teddy ARE related to 1-18-08, then I think the cause may have something to do with Slusho and/or Tagruato. But I’ve never seen Jamie in the trailer, so what does the whole site have to do with the movie, may I ask?
probably jus a way of the writers to tell the events and real lives of the characters. unless these two play key roles i think that the jamie and teddy videos are supposed to be telling their lives as they lead up to robs party. and then all the chaos happens

That jamie and teddy video, that has to be the worst music I have ever heard in my life.
I actually really like the music. The band isn’t great, but they are pretty good.
