Halloween greetings everyone!!
Apart from the ghosts, the ghouls and the skeletons we at project cloverfield have some rather exciting news about 1-18-08 / Cloverfield. 2 sites stating 2 things about the new cloverfield trailer brought to our attention by: Dennis, Polar Bear & Paulisnofun thanks guys!!!

It’s a long script so i wont paste it. To sum it up however. Lots of chaos, very shaky, little monsters are in the movie, monster glimpse (very huge lol)…the title will be…CLOVERFIELD; if this is legit lol.

All has been relatively quiet on the 1-18-08 front for the last few months since the San Diego Comic-Con, but a source for ComingSoon.net has revealed to us that the J.J. Abrams-produced monster movie will get a new trailer AND its title will finally be revealed on November 16 in front of Robert Zemeckis’ animated Beowulf.So far, we know very little about the movie beyond what we’ve seen in the teaser this past summer, the pictures on the official site, the director and writer (Matt Reeves and Drew Goddard) and some of its cast (Michael Stahl-David, Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel, Lizzy Kaplan), but hopefully, more will become clear in a few weeks.

Personally. I do not want to see Beuwolf. That means I will wait until Monday and find the trailer online. Someone better bootleg it for us.

“well, 7 hours would put then near or after sun-up…. so the poster could be showing dawn on the 18th (the sun IS in the right posistion for sun-rise… i think )
and if rescuers or others found the tape to play, then what happened to Rob? how long after 1-18 did they find it?
Wheres HUD? Does HUD get attacked, and Rob takes over? (if rob is holding the camera and talking into it, that would make sense, otherwise HUD is probably holding it as Rob does a confessional type piece.)
And the idea of incident site U.S. 447 suggests multiple attacks in the US AND the world… Maybe Japan?
The idea of some sort of invasion sort of makes sense (not implying alien, but maybe a bunch of Slusho infected mutated sea creatures?)
and the “She’s Dying” thing goes with the “She’s been Bitten” mentioned on AICN… maybe they’re trying find someone else that was lost in the shuffle?
Is the Tunnel really the Subways mentioned before (I think from a possible interpretation of something said in the first trailer?)
The only thing… the arugment between the girl and the army guy doesnt match what was said on AICN, where it was in the dark tunnels…
I could see the first part of the movie (or majority) being executive people (like military leaders, or goverment people) watching the footage of HUD’s camera… then deciding what to do, then it becomes the typical blockbuster cinematography”

the way the guy from chud describes it, it sounds like that other guy who said he got his hands on the audition tapes for the movie and everything he describes sounds just like what that other person descirbed except without the black blood throw up part. I guess the theory about the smaller monsters is true tho. but then the main monster has to be gigantic by the way he describes it. IDK all i know is i wanna see the damn thing now more than ever
because if that is the real description of the new trailer then cloverfield is not boring anymore
Where would the guy from CHUD.com see the trailer? I don’t even know what CHUD.com is. Do they typically get to see trailers before the rest if the world? If this is JJ’s super secret project, would anyone get to see it?
throwing up black blood doesn’t mean much. blood when digested, turns black as the body can’t obsorb the amount of iron in blood. many deseases and parasites can cause reverse parastalsis (your digestive system somewhat reverses), which normally makes you throw up, and could easily be black.

thanks officespace, good ta have ya back man, @ paulisnofun, chud.com is somekind of website sort of like dread central that focuses on monster movies and horror movies and supposedly this guy got a “special screening” of the new clip but i noticed that he didnt say who showed it to him and where he saw it and he says that it was a really bad copy so my guess is they got some kind of bootleg copy OR this guy made it all up as he says everything is fuzzy and he couldnt see the trailer well and he only got to see it 2 times.

Man, I freakin’ hate the idea of the movie having little monsters alongside the towering, unearthly monster. When the guy said, “I couldn’t make out the monster that passed between the two buildings, but it was huge” or whatever sent chills down my spine. lol. Anyways, I do not think it will be called Cloverfield.

Honestly, I don’t believe this, at all. They said a second trailer would be released during the screening of RE3: Extinction…then Saw IV, now Bewulf? Why should I believe some backwater site where almost half the information is false?

Well most of us here think Beowulf is our best bet for the new trailer because paramount has put a shit load of cash behind it and the advertisement is huge…Paramount expect this movie to be a box office smash, so naturally they would include next years box office monstor smash….Well, thats what i think anyway lol.
Todays New York Times included a “Holiday Movies” section. in that section, under date order, is an entry for 1/18/08; Untitled JJ Abrams Project. The blurb basically tells us nothing - but states that the internet community stills refers to it as Cloverfield.

Funny thing happened to me, yesterday. I took my macbook pro (laptop) to a nearby coffee shop to drink coffee (okay, it was cappuchinno, ya happy now?) and browse the Slusho site when a couple people looked over my shoulder and gave me a weird look. Why does the Slusho site have to look so kid-friendly? And why does Abrams tease us with little to none information.
I’m gonna photoshop a picture of Abrams on the Cloverfield poster and have it read, “The movie that everyone is talking about, yet no one knows about, and will probably never know much about until I say so!” XD

@matt yeah, i’m back around. i watched saw 4, i thought it was better than the 2nd one, and as good as the 3rd, almost as good as the 1st. the only reason 4 wasn’t as good as 1, was that you knew there was some kinda screwed up twist coming, where in the first 1 you had no idea. good traps, lots of blood.
where else can you watch a dude dig out his own eye & get dismembered, and another get his head squished between 2 600 lb blocks of ice?
beowulf isn’t high on my list, but i might just have to, to see if there is a new trailer. for those worrying about the multi guess game on which movie might have a trailer, beowulf is the first new film that truly made sense. all the others were done by studios other than paramount. why would paramount share the wealth w/ another company, when they have so many people hooked already? transformers made sense, box office summer smash, beowulf makes sense, winter time box office smash.
I don’t know how you people can watch movies like Saw IV.

probably a promo as jj is probably making this movie like one of those “see glimpses here and there but never actually the real thing” monster movie. that is how you know there will be a part 2 to this movie because of all the secrecy, this will probably end up being the american franchise version of godzilla which abrams wanted all along.

The thing I never understood is if the monster comes from the ocean, why doesn’t he attack the Atlantic city side of NYC instead of the Hudson River side of NYC. I mean, I understand it is a movie. I would do it differently if I were a monster though. How, after September 11, 2001 can New York City not detect something that big. Wouldn’t they pick up vibrations off of the ocean floor? Wouldn’t they be able to pick up something that swims around Brooklyn? I am starting to think about this too much again.
well supposedly like these underwater sounds that they captured, they cannot pick up the exact location but just the sounds so im guessing that will play a role and of course stupid people in movies will hear a big sound underwater and disreguard it as a “Giant air bubble” like in some dumb movies on the sci fi channel. Suppose the monstor had been dormant, a living organism “that big” would be considered a coral reef / huge rock…not a living organsm, hence forth over looked. one thing I noticed… I cant import the entire flash movies off of Slusho…. i get most of them, but its always cut short… what I mean is, if you have Flash, and you have the individual SWFs, you can occasionally score the source data by importing them…
I can import Slusho’s, but only to a point…
I was hoping to find some hidden script in them that we needed to find, like a certain combination of robot flavors that triggers an event, or a hidden message, or something, but to no avail…
but I find it odd that they wouldnt protect them from being imported (i always lock mine, expecially for web content)… something just happens-to-fail while importing, thus preventing me from getting the original data completely…

until we get a legitimate source (and unfortunately, yours is easily shot down as hear-say) we are all skeptical on titles, especially ones that don’t hold over well. (remember, we are the fans, too, and our opinions are as legitimate as anyone elses)
my “panties” were far from in a bunch… People with far better credentials than your own have come up with much better reasoning behind their opinion. This subject is very old, so forgive us from dismissing “Chuai” as a possible title
Either way it is one of the better theories that corrolates with the info we currently have.
The one part I found that may actually be valid (and possibly already posted)
Was that the Teddy and Rob are friends.
Teddy gets Rob a job with Tagruato. While waiting to leave for Japan he receives word from Teddy that there was a huge incident at Chuai Station.
Teddy somehow hints or tells Rob about a pending disaster if the situation is not controlled. That explains the Rob’s behavior.
Even on the Cheese call Sheet there is a part where “Rob tells what he knows”
While under the bridge in Central Park.
It almost seems that he new a huge living thing/monster was headed their way.
Anyway, yesterday is water under the bridge. Movin on………..
I never understood why people thought Rob acted differently than everyone else on the roof druing the attack. People say he acts like he knows that there is a monster attacking. If my friends were throwing me a suprise party, I would not spend the night drinking if I knew there was an attack coming. I would have warned them, and headed out of Dodge. Everyone would. IMO, I do not think Rob has any idea what is attacking the city. I also do not think the had any idea that something was going to attack the city. Some people are just handle a bad situation better.
Paul I see your point, but the leaked Cheese call sheet does mention that Rob tells what he knows while the attack is occuring while he and a gilr are hiding in Central Park.
Your right though, no one would party with a monster on the way.
Still thinking Teddy has a connection to Rob, so maybe Teddy or whoever, tells Rob about a roar that was heard at Chuai and Rob recognizes it from the description that was given to him.
There was a reason for that shot with the comment about leaving for Japan early. He’s thinking hard about something. There is always a specific intent for any expression in acting or stage.
If it were me my jaw would be dragging on the ground with a urgent need for new underwear.

I want to bring up a valid point about the movie’s title though. Let’s take a trip to Superfuzzzz land and pretend that the movie title turned out to be “Chuai” JUST HYPOTHETICALLY!
There are many cloverfans that dismiss this because it is hard to pronounce so let me point this out:
ACcording to so many people Ive discussed this with, the movie won’t be popular because of a name that is hard to pronounce or doesnt ring a bell that its the JJ abrams monster movie.
Well they managed to intrique enough people with no title that we impatiently wait for trailers, posters, and clues. And more importantly they even got some of us to buy Slusho! t-shirts and check into BUYING a slusho machine. ALL of this with a 1:30 teaser and a beverage website and no tagline or title.
Also, there has been infinite Cthulhu theories (which I know are OOG) but i never read Lovecraft and I had to search to find out how to prononce that.
So I believe With the buzz surrounding this movie already, he could title it in Swahili and its still gonna sell.
And as much as we may hate the hell out of what the title turns out to be, Ill still have my popcorn and bucket a coke watching this movie at 12:01a.m. on 1-18-08

Alright, bear with me here.
From everything I’ve been hearing, that I actually took the time to analyze and believe, after looking over the Tagruato deep-sea drilling site and other facts that point toward the movie, I created a timeline for the scene of where “a thunderous roar” was witnessed and how everything interconnects.
First of all, there is more than one monster/entity.
Why, you say? Because it doesn’t add up.
Rob, Jason and the others are in their apartment celebrating Rob’s leave for Japan. Then the lights flicker off just as the “monster” makes a sad moan. I think this monster was somehow affected by the deep-sea drilling by Tagruato. It makes sense because the nearest deep-sea drilling was near Manhattan Island. Now, this monster most liked was in deep pain and couldn’t really control itself, and sensed something underneath the city.
Which brings me to my second analysis. Remember how the guys, in the 1998 Godzilla movie, Zilla’s babies were blown the s*** out of? Well, in the scene where you see the explosion from a birds eye view, you notice that it’s right next to the Empire State Building! And in the Cloverfield trailer, the explosion was near the exact same point!
Now, let me back this up…
Warner Bros. and TOHO have the rights to the Godzilla movie that is scheduled to be released in 2013 or was it 2015? Anyways, I heard rumors that J.J. Abrams was in talks with TOHO to possibly use one of their characters. From what I know, you can use an existing liscense or property from a company/market as long as you pay them royalties.
So, back to where I was earlier. The explosion could not have been set off by the same monster. You see, here’s how I think it went down. The monster (the tortured sea-drilled monster) senses possibly the surviving spouse of Godzilla and tries to chuck the liberty head at the zilla, but due to it’s pain and unusual power, it misses and hits the 403 building. The trajectory was a little bit south of where the explosion was (most likely 4 blocks from the 403 building). But then the smoke is the thing that confuses me because moments after the explosion the path to where the explosion was is completely blocked off with smoke. How can smoke move so quickly?
And so, J.J. Abrams likes to point out touching, important stuff…one that surprised even me. He says, “I went to Japan, with my son, and we looked at all of these godzilla toys…” the crowd cheers and Abrams finishes, “But we need a monster of our own.”
Hahahaha, I think we’re gonna have a showdown between the King of the Monsters, Godzilla.
I’ve also been looking back on youtube, through nooneimportant77’s videos and looking at how he could get away with the footage.

Good observations Prolifix. There’s always that M. Night Shamalayan (however u say his name) twist where JJ could pull a fast one and say…”aaahh, MY monster is orginal, Godzilla is not MY monster and is not orginal, i just used godzilla”…some crap like that.
The only flaw i see in the idea of using Godzilla in a movie, is that he wont be the main character. If JJ wants to create a movie with his monster being the “star” then its a thick idea to put one of the most beloved and well known monsters in, Godzilla, just as a secondary piece of work….
I also want to f***ing point out to everyone that the guy wearing the Slusho t-shirt and jacket is not Rob, it’s Jason (who I think is his brother, right?” I also found out how the movie is pretty cheesy, especially with the leaked info from the second trailer with the guy going, “Whatever it is, it’s winning.” I mean, if someone asked me what the monster was, I’d be like, “B****!!! DO YOU HAVE EYES?!! DOES IT LOOK LIKE I KNOW WHAT THE MONSTER IS?!! DO YOU THINK I’M GONNA STAND BY AND FIND OUT?!! HELL NAW!!! MOVE OUT THE WAY, B****!!!” XD
