We first started in on the Cloverfield crap July 6th. It’s now October 19th. Do you think that Abrams can actually achieve complete and utter mystery with the movie up until the day it’s released in theaters and/or a new trailer is out giving more detail?
I’m fed up with this shit!

Anyway, what have we achieved, Jordan?… I0m still amazed that we REALLY don’t know anything about this movie… At all. They’ve kept this movie so secretly that we can only grasp the plot, but still it’s very hard to say. So far we “know” that Tagruato site it’s involved, and that the monster thing will (?) start from the drilling of the oceanic floor, or something like it. We don’t know how’s like, we don’t know the relationship of the characters with the movie, but we could figure out that… somehow.
Actually I’m kinda worried, there’s only 2 months left (or so), and the name is still unknown.
I think this guy have done well… He may or may not have finished Cloverfield, but he played his cards kinda ok…
@Jordan, I totally agree. the lack of information is frustrating at best. there is nothing out there. some decated people on the boards are chasing vague leads only to find dead ends.
the other movies coming out around the same time are starting to get commercials on tv and coverage on news/entertainment shows…..where is cloverfield?!?
A somewhat witty campaign which currently is on the verge of becoming a dull and frustrating scenario. I can’t tell if JJ ran out of ideas by now or if he even understands what a teaser is in the first place. It’s pretty disappointing to say the least. Dunno how you feel but in my opinion 50% of the clues are nothing more than insults. Imagine how dumb i feel everytime i get to check this website. My god, a retarded japanese recipe that somehow relates to the gist of the movie. Brilliant! Suddenly my pants feel way too tight.

well…we have to hand it to Abrams…in the start it was great….remember those days? weekly / daily updates…..flipping over the foto’s on 1-18-08.com….the number 6! *sigh*……
anyway….Its obvious JJ will keep this movie a secret, why would he give it all away? If he was smart…or if i was in his position, i would release a 2nd trailer just like the 1st, lacking info, but giving just enough to bring the hype up again…now….that would be the SMART thing…not the JJ thing…. :(

We don’t really know anything more, to be honest. All we have found are new websites, but I kind of doubt that actually counts as “knowing anything new”. I mean, the trailer didn’t even tell us much. Will it really matter knowing that people drink Slusho in the move? Doubtful. I admit the newest website has the chance at being the most useful but so far it has yet, in my opinion, become so.
@ Nick mostly…..We havnt learned any **confirmed** new things. The difference being we have found out new things…i.e Slusho distribution to America, Tagruato drilling station near New York e.t.c
JJ Abrams, in my oppinion, plan / idea / thesis, is to give little clues that the fans can hype up on but dont really tell any solid facts about the movie…i mean….when the movie comes out will the history of how the monster came to be, how it awakened, how it was created really matter? will we care? will we still be intrigued after it has ripped apart the statue of liberty? destroyed Trump tower? put a foot in ground zero? Truth is….no….no we will not care….we may get some theories affirmatised and some connections made but thats about it.
It is my theorie that JJ Abrams released the Tagruato sites and the slusho sites (History oval expecially) to cover parts of the movie that JJ does not have time to explain like the history and ingrediants of Slusho and how the monster awakened via Tagruato drilling (theorie). It is quit brilliant if this is what JJ intended.

Yet another update: I went back to the Bold Futura site this morning and it now says that it is under construction…hmmm…
According to nonoeimportant, the cloverfield debunker on youtube, the bold futura website has been debunked as fake by them and they actually give reasons. He said the site is registered on godaddy.com and its from somebody in arizona

what was the registration date? if its recent, probably somebody connected to the movie has heard our roar of displeasantries (go fuk urself abbrams…) and decided to do something about it before nobody cared anymore…
if its older, it was planned. FOX bought the site www.simpsonsmovie.com 9 years before they even were given the greenlight to make the movie, they didn’t wanna get screwed
